Linen Care
Made to become softer with time.
Linen is a naturally strong and durable fabric. With thoughtful care, your Bellayuta pieces will soften beautifully and remain part of your everyday rituals for years to come.
Washing
Wash linen at a maximum temperature of 40°C / 100°F using a gentle cycle and a mild detergent. Wash with similar colors and avoid overcrowding the machine, allowing the fabric to move freely.
For delicate or lightweight linen pieces, hand washing may be preferable. Always follow the specific care label attached to your product.
Detergent
Use a mild liquid detergent without harsh chemicals. Avoid chlorine bleach, as it can weaken the natural fibers and affect the color of the fabric. Oxygen-based bleach should only be used carefully on white linen.
Fabric softener is not necessary—linen naturally becomes softer with every wash.
Drying
Air drying is the best way to preserve the shape, texture and longevity of linen. Gently reshape the item while damp and hang or lay it flat to dry naturally.
Avoid tumble drying whenever possible, as excessive heat may cause shrinkage and damage the fibers.
Ironing
Linen’s relaxed wrinkles are part of its natural beauty. If you prefer a smoother appearance, iron the fabric while it is still slightly damp using a medium heat setting.
Stains
Treat stains as soon as possible. Gently blot the area with cold water and a small amount of mild detergent. Avoid rubbing aggressively, as this may push the stain deeper into the fibers.
Storage
Make sure your linen is completely clean and dry before storing it. Keep it in a cool, dry and well-ventilated space. Folding linen loosely will help prevent deep creases.
With every wash and every use, linen becomes softer, more personal and more beautiful.
